East 10th Street Retail Market Profile
In March 2010, the East 10th Street Civic Association contracted LISC MetroEdge to create a market profile of the East 10th Street Business District. The profile provides concrete information about the retail and service opportunities in the district that can be used for recruiting development investment. The study identifies the total level of buying power in the area and compares it to how and where that buying power is currently spent. This data is a powerful promotional tool to attract and establish development, serve local customers, and attract new ones. Please click here to read:
Business Tenant Recruitment Program
This program is designed to strategically recruit new neighborhood-serving retail businesses to the 10 East Main Street neighborhood business district. Through the program, a retail plan for the district will be developed with community needs in mind, while business incentives and resource information will be provided to potential new tenants.
Efforts will be focused on the marketing of no more than five vacant properties at a time so each property gains significant attention.
Additionally, a business recruitment specialist will be available through the Civic Association to:
- Make strategic recommendations on the recruitment of potential new businesses
- Work with property owners participating in the program to prepare their site for recruitment
- Arrange site visits/tours of program participants’ spaces
- Successfully mediate negotiation and signing of leases
The Business Tenant Recruitment Program is designed to spark new business development and economic activity along the East 10th Street business district, at the same time providing new retail and service centers to the surrounding near eastside neighborhood communities.
